Mask Linux log files and create a mapping file so that old v new can be looked up. This allows you to share log files safely and when discussing issues with an external party still understand what device, user, ip, etc... that they are referring to using the mapping lookup.

LogMasker is an easy-to-use library that allows your application to mask sensitive information before it is written to the log. It is compatible with Log4j2 and Logback. Masking is done directly on the log stream before it is printed to the output.
